What you’ll need
Ingredients
- 100g butter
- 350g milk or dark chocolate
- 1 tbsp golden syrup
- Pinch of salt
- 130g cornflakes
- 40g mini eggs
Utensils
- Loaf tin (greased and lined)
- Mixing bowls
- Microwave-safe bowl or heatproof bowl and saucepan
- Spatula or spoon
Method
- Melt the butter, 250g of the chocolate, pinch of salt and golden syrup together over a Bain Marie or in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in the cornflakes, ensuring they're well coated.
- Pack the mixture firmly into the lined loaf tin.
- Melt the remaining 100g of chocolate and spread it evenly over the top.
- Lightly crush the mini eggs and scatter them over the chocolate layer.
- Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours until set.
- Slice into 8–10 large bars or smaller squares, depending on your preference. Store in the fridge and enjoy!
