What you’ll need

Ingredients

  • 100g butter
  • 350g milk or dark chocolate
  • 1 tbsp golden syrup
  • Pinch of salt
  • 130g cornflakes
  • 40g mini eggs

Utensils

  • Loaf tin (greased and lined)
  • Mixing bowls
  • Microwave-safe bowl or heatproof bowl and saucepan
  • Spatula or spoon

Method

  1. Melt the butter, 250g of the chocolate, pinch of salt and golden syrup together over a Bain Marie or in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
  2. Stir in the cornflakes, ensuring they're well coated.
  3. Pack the mixture firmly into the lined loaf tin.
  4. Melt the remaining 100g of chocolate and spread it evenly over the top.
  5. Lightly crush the mini eggs and scatter them over the chocolate layer.
  6. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours until set.
  7. Slice into 8–10 large bars or smaller squares, depending on your preference. Store in the fridge and enjoy!
